Brendaonline.com Athaliah Overthrown 23  Then, in the seventh year, Jehoiada summoned his courage and took the commanders of hundreds into a covenant with him: Azariah son of Jeroham, Ishmael son of Jehohanan, Azariah son of Obed, Maaseiah son of Adaiah, and Elishaphat son of Zichri.  Joash was hidden for six years.  Joash did not stay in hiding forever.  We can learn that we may have to be in a place that no one knows we exist then God will present us to the world as his ambassador. Jehoiada is a high priest.  Jehoiada called a meeting with men who had established the integrity of leadership with men in the military/ community.   These were military commanders' captains of hundreds.  Jehoiada was a man who thought strategically and planned this move by God's wisdom because you could be killed for speaking against the cruel leadership of Athaliah. 2  They made a circuit throughout Judah. They gathered the Levites from all the cities of Judah and the family heads of Israel, and

Brendaonline.com Judah’s King Ahaziah 22  Then the inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ahaziah, his youngest son, king in his place, because the troops that had come with the Arabs to the camp had killed all the older sons. [ a ]  So Ahaziah son of Jehoram became king of Judah.  Here God shows that he is a keeper of his Word.  There was no way that all of the sons would be killed because God said he would always have someone connected to David to sit on the throne to keep the lamp of God burning.  The enemy could not kill all of them even if they wanted to.  Death is something we do not understand.  When life is taken unfairly, how does God deal with the life that was taken?  I believe God has protection on that life that was taken, so much so, the human mind cannot conceive how quickly He steps in and pulls that life immediately and smoothly until we will have to wait to hear him explain the process. 2  Ahaziah   was twenty-two [ b ]   years old when he became king, and he reigned one year

Jehoshaphat dies and rested and he was buried with his ancestors in the City of David.  Jehoram, his firstborn took his place.   2  He had brothers, sons of Jehoshaphat: Azariah , Jehiel, Zechariah, Azariah , Michael, and Shephatiah; all these were the sons of King Jehoshaphat of Judah. [ b ]   Azariah: Helped by God,  Jehiel: May God live,  Zechariah: God remembers, Azariah: Helped by God,  Michael: Who is like God,  Shephatiah: The Lord that Judge, 3  Their father had given them many gifts of silver, gold, and valuable things, along with fortified cities in Judah, but he gave the kingdom to Jehoram because he was the firstborn. Jehoshaphat had several sons.  He gave them cities in Judah and gave them many valuables.  He gave Jehoram his position as king because he was his firstborn.  It was not u

Brendaonline.com War against Eastern Enemies 20  After this, the Moabites and Ammonites, together with some of the Meunites, [ a ]  came to fight against Jehoshaphat. Why do people want to fight against God?  Why do people want to fight against the people of God?  The Moabites and the Ammonites were half brothers from the descendants of Lot.  The other were people who were not of Israel,  wanted to come against God's as the half brothers did.  We are all brothers.  (One day we will come to realize that.)   2  People came and told Jehoshaphat, “A vast number from beyond the Dead Sea and from Edom [ b ]  has come to fight against you; they are already in Hazazon-tamar” (that is, En-gedi).  The message came to Jehoshaphat that he was being attacked and the attackers were very close.  Imagine someone wanting to fight you and you had no idea you were the target.  You are home doing something that need to be done and all of a sudden, a message is brought to you that someone wants to kill
