Micah 2 If the United States had met Micah during the years of segregation, we might have had a fear of God to have a conscience about how blacks were treated by whites.  This is a very sensitive subject to many of our churches, perhaps because we want to forgive and forget the past.  Well, if that would help us to move forward, we would have to erase the prophecy of Micah chapter 2.   We are instructed by God to study to learn the behavior of Israel so we can get a clear picture of what will happen to us if we, too, refuse to change.  Israel murdered and slaughtered people who did not give them what they wanted or did what they said.  They actually pulled the skin from the backs of people.  All of this was done using God's name to support their evil doing.   All leaders must know the Word of God to see how God concluded this behavior throughout eternity.  I listen to some of the best white teachers of the Word, and they barely touch the message of the United States' behavior c

Micah 1

Micah  1 Micah is a prophet God used to warn Israel and Judah, the northern and southern kingdom of Israel about their treacherous behavior.  Israel was a nation called by God.  They knew what God wanted and refused to take heed.  God sent Micah along with other prophets to tell them to Stop! Israel looks a lot like our religious world today.  If I did not know when this message was written, I could say that it is the news of our religious structure currently. The government and the priest of Israel were corrupt.  Brides were a way of life.  They took advantage of the weak and prostituted themselves and still said they represented God.  God gave them detail and strong warnings to stop.  But they refused.  Now God is telling them what they did to others will be turned upon them.   The governments in both Israel and Judah were responsible for the decision of the people. God warned them that they would be given the same deadly outcome in their own lives if they did not stop.  But anyone w

Jonah 4

Image
Jonah 4  Jonah angrily leaves the city and sits outside of the city at a distance, waiting on its fate.  Nineveh was an evil city filled with evil people. When we think someone deserves the fierce anger of God because of valid reasoning, we subtly anticipate destruction upon them.  For example, if a woman has been abused by her husband, and he faces trauma in his life, you may think it is the result of his previous abusive behavior.  God does not condone this thought process. We are all guilty of the wrath of God.  Yes, you would like the person who caused you harm to stop and learn from his bad behavior, but to wait for someone to die because of the wrong they've done is evil.   Any sin deserves death. Jonah told God that it would be better if he were dead than to see him let Nineveh get away with the evil they were known for. God asked Jonah, do you have the right to feel this way?  As I said previously, Jonah then left the city and went outside of the city.  While waiting on w

JONAH 3

I use pictures to share how I see the story in each chapter.  I have written my thoughts, videoed them, and now I am illustrating my understanding of the simplicity of the Word of God.  When you take your time and read the Word, it becomes amazingly alive and straightforward to comprehend.  When Jesus said his instructions were easy, he meant it. In Jonah 3, God appears to Jonah for the second time.  This time Jonah obeyed.   God gave specific instructions and told him to say only what He bid him to say.  God used the word bid when telling Jonah how to request a response from the people to change. When I think of bidding,  I think of an offer;  God offers a chance for an entire city to change.  The desperation from God is heartfelt. Jonah went as instructed, did what God said, and the people obeyed. An entire city changed.  When the king listened to the people who told him what Jonah said, he was convicted and set in motion change for everyone in his kingdom.  This showed me how much i

Jonah 1

Perhaps Jonah was swimming when God told him to go to Nineveh.  Jonah admitted that he was not going to Nineveh and bought a ticket elsewhere.   Lesson one for me, God does not accept bad behavior from his children.  God chose Jonah to carry out this assignment, and Jonah showed God that he was not obeying. Jonah was not confused about what God told him to do; he heard clearly and disobeyed. When God speaks, those who know His voice are not confused. Jonah was at the ship station and paid for a ticket to Tarshish. Defiance at its finest, says me, who has done the same thing.  Jonah was thinking and made his plan to go away from God's instructions.  God's people add value to others, and when we are out on our own, we bring chaos to other lives.  The ship informed the water, and the water responded by saying, not on my watch.   The storm shook the ship, and those who understood the water turbulence started trying to make the ship lighter.  But that did not work.  The ship's c

Jonah 2

Jonah 2 describes the life of  Jonah from the inside of a whale's belly.  It has ten verses, each showing details of what was happening with Jonah.  Jonah was afraid, sad, and encouraged, and he found the strength to praise.  Jonah sounded like me when I went in the wrong direction. God had to catch and sit me alone to examine myself.  We will find out later why Jonah altered God's command. However, I would like to say what I learned about myself in this chapter.  As stated, my emotions have been like Jonah's.  The video I created shows exactly how I see Jonah in this condition. Jonah could not run, perhaps he could have strayed in his mind, but the ability to get out of that situation was not a choice for him.  Sometimes God allows us to stay put. Learn from this place.  No one can help you, and you can't walk away.  God told the whale to swallow him and not bite him.  The only thing Jonah said that bothered him physically was the seaweed.  The seaweed did not stop the

Amos 7

Image
Hello, and thank you for coming to my space to share a little of the Word of God! Chapter 7 of Amos showed me that  God uses those who make good use of their time with their own hands in everyday life.  Amos is not ashamed of what he does for a living, and he seems to have done it well. Amos did not bite his tongue when repeating what God told him.  Many people who had some influence over people disagreed with Amos.  They told Amos to go and speak to Judah, the southern kingdom; wherever you go, just don't keep preaching at us. Amos stood his ground and gave details of what would happen because Israel, the northern kingdom, did not want to obey God. This video describes all of the details that I saw in each verse.  I hope that it helps you gain a better understanding of how easy it is to be led by God. Whatever you do stay in the Word of God.

Amos 6

Amos was a hired hand, a cattleman; he had no educational background in bible school.   Amos was a responsible man working with the cattle.   God saw Amos as a choice to speak through.  God talk to Thank you for stopping in! Amos and Amos obeyed.   God has chosen  Amos to speak to Israel concerning their backsliding in worshipping other gods. God has given me the passion for taking His Word and making it as simple as I know.  Using visuals gives a greater understanding of what is in writing.  You do not have to be a preacher or someone special to understand God.  God has made His Word so easy that even a child can obey.  This video was created to show how easy it is to understand God.  Every picture is my way of pulling out the details of God's Word in picture form.  Lay aside all excuses and let us learn how easy it is to know God through His Word. I want to advertise God's Word!

Hosea 11

Is God love?  What is love?  If you asked the average person what love is, you might hear several answers; the people I've asked what love was tells me that love is an emotional feeling of something nice being done.  If we define love as such, then that would exclude who God is as love.  God is love, and love defined by God is not limited to emotional feelings.  When God loves, He disciplines.  Discipline shows us our limitations before we hurt ourselves.   When Israel refused to obey God, God put them under a heavy and ruthless discipline by those that did not understand the totality of leading mankind.  Israel chose to be under this type of control because they refused to listen to the knowledge of God.  Israel turned to sticks and stones and treated an object as their God.  So God, in return, sent them to harsh treatment so they could learn the lesson of who God was.   Using this method by God had a limit and a purpose.  God could have wiped everyone off the face of the earth, b

Hosea 8

Image
Brendaonline.com Brendaonline.com God's Word is our Final authority.  When God gave us the Word of God, He gave us the knowledge of God.  If we stray from His gift through His Word, we live life like animals without a soul, and ultimately, we live in a fantasy world that we create.  Israel walked away from God for many years and refused to turn back.  If we decide to live on our own, we will reap a life that will sweat us to death. It is time that we take another look or, better said, repent and reread the Word of God slowly enough to find out who God really is.  Hosea is popular for the woman he married, but not many people know that Hosea's marriage had a deadly meaning when applied to the behavior of Israel.  Let us learn from the lesson from Israel and connect back to God, or the judgment pronounced on Israel is still in operation today.  Jesus has given all we need to find the kind of life we all want through His guided instructions in the Word of God.

Hosea 7

Image
Hosea 7 Brendaonline.com When people do not follow directions, death or hurt is inevitable. Religion has been an attack on the simplicity of God's instructions for man for thousands of years and is currently running rapidly in our society today. When God did all he could to save the land made for his people, and they refused to listen,  God sent those who did listen to Him to warn His people.  His people refused to listen, and Hosea 7 details what occurred. When we go beyond the knowledge of God, who is all knowledge, we live our lives in make-believe or in a fairy tale.

Hosea 6

Image
Hosea 6 tells us that God is tired of the behavior of Israel. God sees the end of Israel as a people.  People trust leaders, pastors, priests, or government officials.  God holds the priest in this chapter accountable for their path in leading His people. God knows how to humble each of us, and He knows what will make us change.  He speaks through Hosea and tells him that Isreal and Judah if Judah does not change, will suffer; and the suffering will make a demand of calling on God early because it will be great.  We can learn from God through Hosea 6 how to avoid unnecessary suffering because we refuse to stop sinning. I hope that the illustrations I have chosen benefit your understanding as we get to know the great Love of Our Father.

Hosea 5

Image
In Hosea 5, God shows us a portrait of how things will end if we refuse to change.  The northern kingdom, Israel, disobeyed God more and more, even after sending them several warnings.  Judah, the southern kingdom, was told to take heed to the behavior of the northern kingdom or the same judgment would fall on them. We can use our imagination to try to live the good life, but it will never work.  We must cast down every imagination that lifts itself beyond the knowledge of God.  The Word of God is final. When we go beyond that, we live in an imaginary or unrealistic land.

Hosea 4 Animated Video

Image
Today is the first day I have blogged about what I have learned since August 3rd.  I have several videos on the book of Daniel and Hosea that I will try to organize later.   In Hosea 4, God cries about the behavior of Israel, and He pleads with Judah about copying their ways. Israel is the older sister, and God asks the younger sister Judah to stay close to Him and not look at Israel as its model. Israel has fallen in love with idols and refuses to let go.  God as a husband, begs his wife to return to Him, and He promises to love her despite all prostitution.  I use animations in this chapter to show how I view chapter 4.  Please view the video and let me know if your understanding is clearer in what God wants us to know. God has decided to love us, showing us how He wants to be loved in return. Please pray for me as I try my best to make the Word of God as simple as I know how while reading to people of all ages.  May you hunger for the Word of God all day long.  In the name of the  G

Ezekiel 48

Brendaonline.com Today is the last day of being in the Word of God for 1,189 days, day and night.  I have tried to read every word God has spoken.  I did not start in Genesis; I started in Daniel.  If I was asked what book should anyone start in, I will say start in Genesis and watch the story unfold.  However, start walking with Him where you met Him and start at that place.  Carefully read the whole chapter and the book that contains that chapter you were reading.   I met Him for the first time in Galatians.  I read Galatians over and over and over again.  I read it so many times until I ran telling the whole city to read Galatians.   I never read a book of the Word of God in my life!  I was so excited!!!  After I tried telling people to read, I was hurt by their responses.   I thought they would be as excited as I was.  Needless to say, many were not excited at all.    I have learned so so much about the Word of God; also, I have learned a lot about what people know and how they res

Ezekiel 47

Brendaonline.com In my vision, the man brought me back to the entrance of the Temple. There I saw a stream flowing east from beneath the door of the Temple and passing to the right of the altar on its south side.  God has shown Ezekiel a temple that was measured before his face.  The prince, priest, and ministers will use the inside and outside and the different parts of the places.  The description from God is easy to comprehend. The man brought me outside the wall through the north gateway and led me around to the eastern entrance. There I could see the water flowing out through the south side of the east gateway.  Measuring as he went, he took me along the stream for 1,750 feet and then led me across. The water was up to my ankles.  The man is still measuring. He measured off another 1,750 feet and led me across again. This time the water was up to my knees. After another 1,750 feet, it was up to my waist.  Then he measured another 1,750 feet, and the river was too deep to walk acro
