4  But it came to pass, that when Sanballat heard that we builded the wall, he was wroth, and took great indignation, and mocked the Jews. Sanballat is back!   I wonder why people can sometimes be upset with you for doing something good.  What drives Sanballat to speak against something that is none of his concerns?  Sanballat as a man has the mind of a boy without corrections.  Nehemiah wants to make things good and also clean up the area.  Why would anyone have a problem with that? 2  And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned? Sanballat has nothing else to do but stir up trouble.  Anyone who listens to Sanballat is behaving foolishly.  He attacks the Jews by calling them weak, can they make themselves safer? do the Jews think ...

Brendaonline.com 3  Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests, and they builded the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it; even unto the tower of Meah they sanctified it, unto the tower of Hananeel. The responsibility of building the sheep gate was given to the high priest and his brothers the priest.  Taking care of those who need us is the greatest assignment given to anyone.  Jesus is our high priest.  Jesus said he will be the first to build protection around us, his sheep.  He made sure the gate was clean. He set up the doors of it.  Jesus made sure that nothing enters the pasture of the sheep if it was not authorized by him.  No danger of any kind has permission to harm his sheep.  Jesus set up towers that gave even more protection.  Just as the towers of our cell phones give signals, so is the tower of the Word a God a protective force to let us know what being transferred. 2  And nex...

Brendaonline.com 2  And it came to pass in the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king, that wine was before him: and I took up the wine, and gave it unto the king. Now I had not been beforetime sad in his presence. Nehemiah was employed by King Artaxerxes.  It is not stated how long he was working in the palace as a cupbearer (bartender), but it seems he has been there long enough that the king notices something about his appearance was different. 2  Wherefore the king said unto me, Why is thy countenance sad, seeing thou art not sick? this is nothing else but sorrow of heart. Then I was very sore afraid, Nehemiah's feeling of what was going on in Jerusalem was apparently noticeable to the king so much so, that the king asked him what was wrong? After being asked what was bothering him, Nehemiah became afraid. 3  And said unto the king, Let the king live for ever: why should not my countenance be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers' sepulch...

m BRENDAONLINE.COM Chapter 11 is an unselfish prayer prayed by Nehemiah.  Nehemiah heard of what was going on with his brother and prayed.  He did not gossip or act as if he was not a part of the problem.  When he went before God he included himself.  Jesus said when we pray we are to pray, Our Father,... forgive us ,..... as we forgive....  others , give us.... this day our.... daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive others who trespass us against us.   There was nothing singular about how Jesus taught us to pray. (Matthew 6 entire prayer) Lord help me to pray for more than just me. We are the body of Christ.  When we begin believing this, we will focus on the parts we are connected to always, the entire body. 1  The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah. And it came to pass in the month Chisleu, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the palace, 2  That Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and certain men of J...
