Job 11

11 Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,

Zophar is Job's third friend to speak.

Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified?

Zophar states that Job has spoken plenty.  Are you right because you talk a lot?

Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?

Job you tell lies.  Should we be quiet while you make a mockery of God's Word?  Aren't you ashamed?

For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thine eyes.

You state you have done nothing wrong.

But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee;

Oh! I wish God will put you in your place and shut your mouth!!

And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth.

You deserve much more at least double in comparison to what you are going through!!!!!! God went light on you!

Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?

Have you found God in your search?  Do you think you are like God as perfect as He is?

It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?

Heaven or hell is out of your reach!  God is too big for you to think you are close to him.

The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.

10 If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him?

If God wanted to shorten anything who could stop him?  He is too big to consider that you know him!

11 For he knoweth vain men: he seeth wickedness also; will he not then consider it?

God knows your evil heart and he will deal with you.

12 For vain men would be wise, though man be born like a wild ass's colt.

Your speech is as good as a wild ass giving birth to a man!

13 If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him;

Lift up your hands toward God! And prepare to surrender to God!

14 If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles.

Repent!

15 For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear:

After you do as I say, God will make you a brand new man!

16 Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away:

God will erase and give you a better life if you only hear me!

17 And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday: thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.

You will be brand new if you will only listen to me!!

18 And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety.

If you listen to me you will have favor all around you.  Your house sits on wealth and you will be safe.

19 Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee.

You can get some rest and people will seek you b because they favor you.

20 But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope shall be as the giving up of the ghost.

If you decide not to listen to me, it will be too bad for you!!

Job 11

Zophar you can only go so far

You overstepped your boundaries

You spoke to Job as you did

And ignored a friend in-need

No comfort in what you said

You found Job guilty of sin

Your verdict was  without proof

Is that how God judges men?

To applaud you I applaud you not

For your words were of your own

You sounded like a big tough guy

The truth is not measured by a tone

Let us all learn from Zophar

Make sure you talk what you know

The curtain  will open  and it’s your turn to speak

Let the truth steal the show

Remember because you are the last to speak

That doesn’t mean you have the last word

You may  bow and take your seat but,

It ain’t over until God is heard
