Micah 6 and 7

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

1.  Happy is the person who walks in the teaching of the Word of God.  That person does not block people from the Word of God.  That person who chooses to live by the Word will not sit in the seat to scorn, cause pain, or attack people that teach correctly the Word of God.

2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

2. A person who cannot wait to spend time in the Word, always checks the Word before he makes his move.  When we love the Word we are delighted to check with God.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

3.  Our lives will flourish.  It goes without any work on our part.  We do not have to force the growth.  In fact, God does not need our help in producing the fruit we will ultimately see.  We must obey God's Word, and like a newborn who desires milk will grow if he is fed, so will anyone who continues in the Word of God.

4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

4.  If we refuse to obey God's instructions, our lives will be a portrait of shame that will soon be blown away with the wind; meaning, we will have nothing to keep for ourselves or give to anyone else.  We will have a photo album of lies, deceit, and shame.

5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

Since we choose to disobey God, we will not stand in the judgment, does that mean we will fall down and cry when we hear our sentencing? And if we are sinners, we will not be among those who are gathered with people who obey God.  What is the difference between the ungodly and sinners?  Ungodly,  you know what to do and won't do it.  Sinners you don't know and you do not want to know God's instructions.

6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

God knows His students and He knows how to navigate them safely throughout life.  God knows that the unrighteous shall be destroyed.

The righteous people have paths and the wicked paths are always a dead end.

And whatever he does

Shall prosper

The wrong is not so:

What he has the wind will blow

the ungodly shall not stand

in the judgment, 

no sinners are in the plan

With the things 

Of a righteous man

For the LORD knows

the way of whose right

When the wrong go to battle 

He will lose every fight
