Psalm 15
When I read this chapter, I see it as God taking us into closely knitted areas of those we are surrounded by. Our blood family. If we practice these five verses with those we see daily according to God's divine plan, we will change a generation. We tend to hurt those who are close to us as if God did mean for us to hurt family members. When the family is out of order, the church is out of order, the community is out of order, ultimately the world is out of order. There is more confusion of sin within the family than in any place I know. It started with Adam and Eve, Cain killing Able, Abraham and his wife, his wife handmaid and her son, Issac, and Rebecca, Jacob and Esau, the sons of Jacob, the brothers of Joseph, the children of Israel, our world today and the list goes on and on. The family was ordained by God to work. God uses families to change our world. Take a close look at these five verses and examine yourself. That is what I did. Having done that, I walk out with a better understanding of how I have been talking and behaving. This chapter made me examine my walk in God's Word and it makes me want to stay near to Him. He promised never to leave me and I definitely do not want to be evicted from His presence because of my refusal of changing.
15 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.
3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.
5 He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.Song
God has a house
and all can come in
his house is big enough
for all except sin
He'll show you how
to live and do right
He's a housekeeper
Nothing misses his sight
No room for backbiting
evil and bringing a reproach
exacting usury
In His house, that's a NO!
Plenty room
for Walking upright
Speaking truth in your heart
Keep your promise with all your might
One thing he hates
are those who won't change
He said I will never put you out
My house ain't for games!
