Psalm 26
26 Judge me, O Lord; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the Lord; therefore I shall not slide.1Integrity- the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness
• internal consistency
David admits he has followed directions. God made us to follow directions. We can follow directions. We must judge ourselves. David asked God to examine him to see if He saw in him what he saw in himself. David said I used your recipe and the baked good come out just like you said it would. David lastly said, your cook book is the only cook book I will use and then I will know my food will be declicious.
2 Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.
3 For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.
Your Word is your lovingkindness. To share your receipe with me is a gold mine. Who shares the best without a charge. You shared Your best and did not ask me for a dime. All you asked if I would cook the food just like you did. Wow!
4 I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.
I use only the finest ingredients. I will not cut cost by using imitation flavors.
5 I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.
I see others who use Your cookbook but they only use your name and not your flavors. They send out their product with your logo and they leave out your quality.
6 I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O Lord:
I know what you said do and I did it the way you said to do it. My conscience is clear when I go to bed. I served my family and friends the best. I did not cut corners in what You told me to serve. I paid careful attention to your ingredients that are in Your Word. Now I present my self before you as a chef/student ready to tell you about my day.
7 That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.
When You hear my testimony I will sound grateful for all You shared with me! And I will advertise to everybody how excellent You are!!!
8 Lord, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.
Lord I love Your Food Class or Reciepe Book or Your Word. This is where I learn to do things right!
9 Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:
Please don not let the food critics grade me as if what I serve is less than your standards. I do not want to cheat people out what they deserve.
10 In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.
People who use your product and Your Name in vain are full of dishonesty and in their right hand is full of dishonesty and illegal activity.
11 But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me.
As for me, I will follow your cooking plan. Rescue, vendicate and save me and show me mercy. It was in my heart to do people right and if I did wrong unknowlingly, have mercy on me.
12 My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the Lord.
I standy by what I serve because I used Your Word to serve Your people. Where ever people gather, I will not be ashamed to make You My God and Make known all You did through me.
