Psalm 7

7 O Lord my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:
David is the king appointed by God. Although God selected David to be king of his people, it did not mean he would be popular and liked by all. David had problems and he was tired at times. When David needed support, he called the CEO of his company. David told God I trust you. I need help from people who do not trust you. I call you and I request deliverance.
2 Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
My soul is in need of you. These people will shred me to pieces if you don't help me. David knew the power of a lion. Lord, my description came from my experience. Help my thoughts and my decisions. My mind is in trouble.
3 O Lord my God, If I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;
Lord, I need you even if I caused my own problems.
4 If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:)
If made a friend mad. If I have caused an innocent person harm and now he is my enemy:
5 Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.
Let him get even with me.
6 Arise, O Lord, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.
Lord help me. My enemy is upset. Lord, you bring me to court and judge me.
7 So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on high.
Let the people I have hurt see you render judgment on me.
8 The Lord shall judge the people: judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.
When you do judge me, remember I did not mean to cause this confusion.
9 Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.
Do justice in this matter. Let the wicked get paid his wages and allow the just to be given what they have a right to. You are just in all you do.
10 My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.
Lord you are all I got! You deliver those who' s heart is right!
11 God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.
You judge the right people. You never let a day go by being upset when people go against Your Word!
12 If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.
The Lord will sharpen His sword and He knows where to aim. The ammunition is always ready.
13 He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.
Death is called by God. He knows exactly where death should take place on His enemies.
14 Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.
Knowing all that God does, the enemy is relentless. He continues to go against God's people.
15 He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.
Evil planned for others only works on the person who manufactured it. Evil cannot work on anyone except the person who started it.
16 His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.
Evil is selfish. It will never leave its owner.
17 I will praise the Lord according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the Lord most high.
