46 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

refuge-shelter and strength (energy) a very (absolute, intentional) present (occurring now, always the same) help (make things easier) in trouble- (trouble- public unrest, stress, violence, bothers)

God prepares before-time the trouble that may lie ahead.

2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

If the earth is removed, if what we stand on is no longer standing and the mountain, no matter how tall it is being cast into the sea and drown (this lets me know the waters are DEEP!

3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

There is a fear defined greater than what has been defined.  If the tempest of the sea is out of control and the volcano erupts;

4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

There is a river ( the Word of God) that flows out of your belly it shall flow rivers of living waters.

5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

The river that flows shall not be moved:  God refers to us as the ground that receives seed.

6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

When we do not obey God, God, like an army removes those that hurt others.

7 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

The people of God know that they have God's support at all times.

8 Come, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth.

Let us look back to see how God handle those who would not stop doing wrong.

9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.

He won!  Against the best of the armies against God!

10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Take the time and get to know the Word of God.

11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

God is. God controls. God is our help.  God is God!
