PSALM 54

brendaonline.com

David was running for his life away from Saul.  Wherever David ran,  someone felt the need to inform Saul.  When we are not necessarily the main enemy, but we participate in supporting or aiding the enemy we are just as guilty of the crime being carried out.
David talks to God about the smallest matters in his life. Even when David already knew that God had helped him before, he prayed a brand new prayer in a brand new situation.  David prayed and God heard and answered.  Read 1 Samuel 23 to gain the entire story of why David wrote this song.  When God plays in the game, you know you win!!!!!

54 Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength.

Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.

For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah.

Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.

He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth.

I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O Lord; for it is good.

For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.
