82 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.

congregation:  a group of people who gather for religious purposes.

God judges leaders.

Pharoah was looked upon as a god.  He ran Egypt.  He ran the economy, the government, spiritual lives and all that pertained to life.

2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.  

How long will you make laws and carry out orders of those who refuse to know God's Word?

How long will you make decisions without My Word?

3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.  

Protect the poor and those who have no fathers (dead or absent from the home):  Make right decisons for all people.  Treat people according to God's Word who are troubled and in need of affection.

4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.

Bring the poor and needy: remove them from the hand of people who refuse to let God rule.

5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

The poor and needy do not understand.  They live beneath my promise:  There is none whose foundations is My Word on earth.

6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

I repeat you are in leadership, but all of you are children under Me.

7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

You are gods or leaders but you will die like men and fall like a man who will be noticed by many.

8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

Lord, take over and be in charge over all the earth:  for you will have all people under Your rule.  You love all mankind.
