84 How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts!

How likable You are!Oh, the places we use to meet with You!  You are Lord of everything in heaven and earth!

2 My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

Like a baby who reaches up for the support to be in the arms of the parent so does my faith reach up to You!  I faint like a kid to play outside of Your courts.  I love hanging around You, even when you are not saying a word. Every fiber of my being craves for You!

3 Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O Lord of hosts, my King, and my God.

I hang out at Your courts so long until I noticed that even the smallest birds have built nests because they too seem to love Your courts.

4 Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.

Inside the house I am blessed, happy, I will remain by being still, and always praising You!

5 Blessed the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.

HapPY is the man who realizes his power comes from you.  This man allows you to navigate his daily path.

6 Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.

In the man's travel who has put his trust in you, he will enter difficult situtions and he will create something good out of any challenging condition, and leave a blessing stating that man has been with God.

7 They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God. 

When we travel in the strenght of God, we become stronger and stronger.  All obedience in the Word of God is beneficial.

8 O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.

Lord of of all listen to my plea and pay attention to my concerns.  You are the same God that heard in time past, listen to my prayer today.

9 Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.

Lord of my protection, look at me, because I am called and appointed by You to carry out my assignment.

10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. 

One day with you can not be compared to 1000 of anything.  I love Your Word so much until I would rather be in Your Word than anywhere else.  I will play an unseen role for you, than be famous in many places through the world.

11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. 

You are a sun if needed, you are a shield when needed.  You give what we need to make us attractive enough to be known as Yours when we obey.  You do not hide us and You are not ashamed of those who follow Your instructions.  You do not hold back anything good for us and You make all things good to us when it all said and done. You promise to do this for us if we live our lives in integrity.

12 O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

Anybody who follows Your lead is a happy person.
