Psalm 98

God commands us to sing!  To sing is an expression of truth.  When we sing we usually don't tell lies.  Our songs may not be a good song to some, but the songs we right conveys the truth of the person who wrote it.  I don't think I have ever heard a son that told a lie.  I have heard songs I did not know the meaning of, but I cannot think of a song that intentionally lied.
God told us to sing.  He did not say sing in good times for even bad times; He said sing period.  Everyday we awake we commanded to sing.  When we come into the presence of  God and watch His ways, we will want to sing.  To sing is a release.  Singing gives us the power to cast our cares.  The lyrics through music sticks to our brains.  When we sing together we all remember the lyrics somehow.
Mary had a little lamb is a song that many children learned and 90 years later, the lyrics and tune still lives our minds some where.
Nature is told to sing.  Nature sings every single day.  Once when I was riding with my daddy, I hung my head outside of the car window and I could hear music mixed with air.  It is true for me, I heard music in the air.  I don't remember the tune, but I clearly remember the symphony. I would tilt my head back and forth out of the window just to focus on what I knew sounded good to me.
God told Israel, there would be no need to fight, just sing!  And when Israel obeyed, the enemy destroyed themselves.
Today I sing, Yesterday I sang, Tomorrow I will sing again.
Sing until your enemy is subdued.  Sing until your neighborhood is clean, sing until your son returns home.  It must have been hard for the prodigal son's father to sing while his son was wayward. I believe he did.  Nothing in the Word of God said he didn't sing.  But when he saw his son from afar off he prepared music and a feast!
I believe Jesus sang all the time.  Although the Word does not write every song He sang, we know He did.  Jesus said if the Word of God listed all He did, we would not have enough time to read it all.  So I believe He sang, because He commanded us to do the same!  Sing!!!!!!
One day the world we be ran of truth!!!!!!

98 O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

The Lord hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.

He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

Sing unto the Lord with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.

With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the Lord, the King.

Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together

Before the Lord; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.
