142 I cried unto the Lord with my voice; with my voice unto the Lord did I make my supplication.
God knows every voice on earth. If I cried not only does He know I am crying out to Him, He also knows the sound of why I am crying out to Him.
2 I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble.
In my cry, I poured out, I told Him everything that was causing me pain. I described to God what I was going through.
3 When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.
When I cried, God knew exactly what caused me to call upon Him. He knew how I got to the place I was in. He knew all the things the wicked had plotted against me.
4 I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.
I had no one to help me. I could not find a hiding place; nobody paid me any attention.
5 I cried unto thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.
David saw that if he had no evidence of support, He knew within his mind and heart, God is my source of protection. When there is no one to show you that they care, fall back on the Word of God. God is not a second thought, but when if He is asked after we have done what we thought worked, He is glad we did not ignore Him, even if we called Him afterward. He is a God that shows, I care all the time.
6 Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.
David is asking God to pay attention to what is bothering him. David asks God to handle those who were too strong for him.
7 Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.
Confidently, David asked God to bring him out of bondage. David knew his prayer was heard. David said he will be glad to be around people who like being around God's presence. David testifies knowing that, God will make all things good.
