Not only is it good, it is also pleasant to take the Word of God and live by it. It is good to know that all brothers seek God's ways. When we do this, it is good and is delightful.
2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
It is like taking a picture of oil and pouring it on the leader who represents God. Pouring the oil from top to bottom of the leader and let it run from his head to the bottom of his clothing. This represents the body of the church of God. Aaron was the high priest who had direct contact with God. The oil represents the Spirit of God or the personality of God. When God flows he wants to cover all who are joined together. God will not leave out anyone.
We live in a society that separates people and certain people are included in the goods of life. God's way of doing what He does is so unlike man. God loves and includes everybody all the time. Unity with God is everybody is included. What God does for one, He does for all.
3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.
Dew on the mountain gives the plants what it needs. Who can water the mountain but God? The dew of the tallest mountain provided water to the lower hills. When we work together, we make God feel good. When God feels good he commands blessings. Not only will be blessed now, but he will also bless forevermore.
We must seek God's Word to know how to be blessed all the time.
