Psalm 130
30 Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.
I cried unto the Lord from a low place in my life.
2 Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
Lord hear my prayer: please give attention to my desires, my request.
Hear my heart. Not just my words.
3 If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
When I was a child, my teacher would leave someone in charge to take names of bad behavior. If God took names who's name could He leave out?
4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
Even if I did wrong, God will forgive me and I would be cleared. So since He is a forgiver, I am able to stand in His presence.
5 I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
I make a decision to wait on the Lord. I have made a decision to trust what I know the Word of God says.
6 My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.
Like a man who works in the night, and waits for the morning to come so that he can get off, shows how much I wait for God to move on my behalf when I pray to Him.
7 Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.
Let the people of God, trust God's Word. With God, we can always come. God will forgive and hear and answer us when we call upon Him. Don't allow your sins to keep you from coming to God about everything. Confess and pray and let God show you how he forgives.
8 And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
God will forgive us for anything. Even sins we have repeated over and over. Come home; God is ready to forgive.
