Psalm 143

143 Hear my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.

David is a king.  David found the time to talk to God.  David was very organized.  If a leader finds time to talk to God and write what he says to God down, that is a phenomenal leader. 

2 And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.

Lord don't sentence me right now.  If I stood in your courtroom right now, my soul will not be justified.  Let me talk to You.

3 For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.

My enemies have me in a dark place. 

4 Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.

I feel alone Lord.

5 I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.

 David said, I have to look at what I know You did in the past. 

 Sometimes we have to remember what we once knew when things were good to understand that God will work things out again.

6 I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.

Lord help me.  I thirst for You Lord.

7 Hear me speedily, O Lord: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.

Don't leave me alone Lord, I need You right now.

8 Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.

Let me see You, Lord.  Let me see the revelation of Your Word.

9 Deliver me, O Lord, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.

Help me out, Lord.  Protect me from those who want to do me harm.  I am searching Your Word to know my next move.

10 Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

Show me myself according to Your Word.  I want to know that I am hearing from You.

11 Quicken me, O Lord, for thy name's sake: for thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble.

Make me alive again Lord.  Because You promised me that You will keep me, keep me, Lord.  Because You have an assignment for me and I want to be in a place I can complete my task for You.  Do me a favor God, help me, please.

12 And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.

Remove my enemy.  Destroy those who want to hurt me.  I am a student in Your class.
