Psalm 150
150 Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
1. Praise the Lord period. I approve God! Admire, speak highly of!
2. Praise Him on the inside.
3. Praise Him on the outside.
2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
Why should I praise Him?
1. Praise Him for what He did.
2. Praise Him because He did what He did in excellence.
3. Praise Him because He does things that last forever and it is BIG!
3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.
1. God loves music. David was after God's own heart and David loves music the way God does.
2. Praise God with string instruments and harps are two musical instruments God singles out!
4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
Praise Him with tamborines and dancing.
1. If you can't read notes, beat the Tamborine and move! Find a way to praise Him!
5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
1. God loves the loud sounds of cymbals! These cymbals are hand-held cymbals.
2. Praise Him on the high-sounding cymbals!
These cymbals are usually found with drum sets.
6 Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.
The contrast is big to small, let everything God made praise Him!
