Proverb 11

11 A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight.

Half-taught truth is an insult to God.  but the Word of God taught is His delight.

When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.

When pride comes, then follows shame: but the humble carries wisdom.

When Saul wanted to kill David, that was the pride in him.  When Saul sought a witch to aid him in his desperation, he did it in shame; when he, the king, stooped so low as in to get advice from the dead this was to his shame.  Saul was chosen of God, Saul refused to follow God's plan (pride), Saul died in shame.  Even today, to mention Saul's name is shameful.

A man that seeks God will stay on the right path: but the slick shall fall by his own grease trap.

The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.

The righteousness which is God's Word written shall keep the person who lives by it when he faces trouble:  but the person who practices wrong will get the outcome of pain he wanted to inflict on others.

The righteous will be rescued.

When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth.

When a man who refuses to follow God dies, whatever his dreams were dies with him:  when he dies the hope of those who trusted him dies with the wicked leader.

Anyone who refuses to follow God's orders hope will be dissolved.

The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.

The righteous will be delivered if trouble comes, and the wicked get what was meant for the righteous when the wicked pursued him.

An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.

An evil friend tries to destroy the reputation of a person who does right: but after careful investigation, the truth will be made known.

A woman of God lives right in the day or night: men of prudence always have enough.

Hard-working men retain wealth.  Retain- always have something.
