Isaiah 35:1-10 (KJV) 

1 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.

After reading chapter 34, it was surprising to see the introductions to what He is doing simultaneously toward the people who stood firm on His Word.  Places that were normally dry had a new look and new life! The land was excited and the people were too; people are glad when a good leaders takes his or her position of leadership. At the same time, God has a sentencing of death on the one who killed.  It is now that their lives will be destroyed and destroyed by God Himself. God rewards and judges at the same time.

 

2 It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, [and] the excellency of our God. 

When spring time arrives, the ground speaks and sends beautiful arrangement of flowers and plants to let us know it a new beginning.  The plants blossomed and sang!  To hear a plant sing is beyound my imagination.  When God arrives and takes His place, everything that breathes sings.

3 Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.

Tell your own hands it is time to get busy.  Tell your knees it is time to stand!  Even our bodies respond differently when God arrives!

 4 Say to them [that are] of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come [with] vengeance, [even] God [with] a recompence; he will come and save you. 

If some people are  not aware of the power of God, put the Word out!  Encouraged them that there is no need to be afraid.  God is in contol.  God gave us His Word.  His Word is who He is!  When we learn more about Him through His Word, we get a small glimpse of who He is.

5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. 

All that is not working will start work especially in our bodies.  To see the freedom that was always yours and now you can grab hold of it is awesome!  To think you were bond by foolisheness and now you see the purness of God's mind, and at the same time, He is renewing your mind.  Things will change when you see what is in the Word of God.

6 Then shall the lame [man] leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. 

Those of us who use to need the support of others to understand God's Word will now walk bodly to gain an understanding of His Word.  No longer will try to speak the things of God will bodly procaim the Word of God with clarity.  We have God at our finger tip; all we need to do is touch the helm of the book slowly and gaze at every Word that describes Him.

7 And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, [shall be] grass with reeds and rushes.

Behold everything becomes new. The dry ground is a pool and the dry land has springs of water; where the angry animal who the people feared is grass with water plants.

 8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it [shall be] for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err [therein].

There is a highway.  A way that is lifted up!  The only one who is authorized to travel on that highway are the people of God.  If you get lost, God will make sure you stay on the right path.  This place is where everyone is fitly joined together and they have no need for any one else to lead other than the Word of God.

 9 No lion shall be there, nor [any] ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk [there]: 

No one will be afraid.  We have been brought back to safety in the presence of God.

10 And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Those who were steadfast will return back to the place God has on hold.  In this place people sing everyday all day! We will have joy and will be given more joy!  Joy on top of Joy! Wow!  No frustration and unhappiness, for anything that does not make glad is gone.
