Isaiah 57
Isaiah 57:1-21 (KJV)
1 The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth [it] to heart: and merciful men [are] taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil [to come].
God removes people from the earth before He judges the earth. Just like He removed Lot before destroying Sodom and Gomorrah. All the people who are left will not know God is getting ready to bring judgment on those who are left on the earth.
2 He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, [each one] walking [in] his uprightness.
Finally the godly will get some rest.
They will find a place where they will continue doing the things that are right.
3 But draw near hither, ye sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the whore.
Now I called the sons of the woman who lives by the rules of this world and not My Word, I called those who commit adultery and I called those who hop from bed to bed.
4 Against whom do ye sport yourselves? against whom make ye a wide mouth, [and] draw out the tongue? [are] ye not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood,
Who do you think you are that you would commit sin before me? You are the seed of those who know better and won’t change, the children of a lie.
5 Enflaming yourselves with idols under every green tree, slaying the children in the valleys under the clifts of the rocks?
You allow your bodies to get alarmed sexually having an unnatural affection in every exciting place, taking the lives of children in places you think you are hidden to commit sin.
6 Among the smooth [stones] of the stream [is] thy portion; they, they [are] thy lot: even to them hast thou poured a drink offering, thou hast offered a meat offering. Should I receive comfort in these?
You use the internet to make sexual advances, and masturbation from the viewing of others who exploit their bodies; do you think I am pleased with your actions?
7 Upon a lofty and high mountain hast thou set thy bed: even thither wentest thou up to offer sacrifice.
You build fancy places to exploit yourselves for ungodly sex practices
8 Behind the doors also and the posts hast thou set up thy remembrance: for thou hast discovered [thyself to another] than me, and art gone up; thou hast enlarged thy bed, and made thee [a covenant] with them; thou lovedst their bed where thou sawest [it].
You even meet behind closed doors and mark places that will cause you to remember what you did: you find out things about others sexually that has nothing to do with My Word. You have made big your bed to include other people: you love what you saw when you saw it.
9 And thou wentest to the king with ointment, and didst increase thy perfumes, and didst send thy messengers far off, and didst debase [thyself even] unto hell.
You have taken your ungodly sexual desires to the next level of committing ungodly sexual acts with leaders. You put on more cologne and sent workers away and you did things you thought I could not seem to make reservations for hell.
10 Thou art wearied in the greatness of thy way; [yet] saidst thou not, There is no hope: thou hast found the life of thine hand; therefore thou wast not grieved.
It is hard living the life that you have chosen, so you look the other way when you do what you do. You say oh well it is what it is and you are not sorry about it.
11 And of whom hast thou been afraid or feared, that thou hast lied, and hast not remembered me, nor laid [it] to thy heart? have not I held my peace even of old, and thou fearest me not?
Are you not afraid to do what you do against My word? Who are you afraid of? Do you know that I am God?
12 I will declare thy righteousness, and thy works; for they shall not profit thee.
You will be rightfully charged. The wrong you have done will not do you any good.
13 When thou criest, let thy companies deliver thee; but the wind shall carry them all away; vanity shall take [them]: but he that putteth his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain;
Since you do not want me, call on the god you want; but they will not be there for you: however, if you change your mind and trust Me, I will bring you to a higher level of living.
14 And shall say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumblingblock out of the way of my people.
When I forgive you you will say y’all come up, come here, remove whatever that is in the way and come.
15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name [is] Holy; I dwell in the high and holy [place], with him also [that is] of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
I am the Lord I can change you I want to change you. If you will only let Me be your God, I will give you a second chance.
16 For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls [which] I have
I will not beg you to come back to me forever. I would not always be upset because if I don’t bring this to an end, you will die and live eternally without Me.
17 For the iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth, and smote him: I hid me, and was wroth, and he went on frowardly in the way of his heart.
Because you would not obey Me, I became angry and you saw My wrath: I hid from you. I wanted you to change but you would not.
18 I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners.
You are sick, so come to Me and I will heal you. I will give you comfort and comfort to all those around you.
19 I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to [him that is] far off, and to [him that is] near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him.
You will say I have peace, you will say this to all that sees that you’re back home with Me says the Lord.
20 But the wicked [are] like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
Just like an angry sea so is the lifestyle of the wicked.
21 [There is] no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.
The wicked have problems all the time.
