Isaiah 62
Isaiah 62:1-12 (KJV)
1 For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp [that] burneth.
I will not hold back my peace for the sake of My people, and for the location of where My people live, I will not stop doing what it takes until the righteousness for Jerusalem is evident and keep a lamp burning to indicate they are safe.
2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.
The glory of who you are will cause the common as well as the leaders to recognize I am for you.
3 Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
God uses crown and diadem as two different words. Both of these words has been defined as a crown, but the word diadem refers to what jewels are place in the crown.
A crown shows high respect of honor usually after a win. A diadem shows that you are highly regarded as in charge. God holds both of these in your honor. A crown because you win and a diadem because you are distinguished as royalty.
4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.
Hephzibah is the mother of Judah, my delight, the tribe that carried the seed of David. God calls the land Beulah whose name means she is my bride.
5 For [as] a young man marrieth a virgin, [so] shall thy sons marry thee: and [as] the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, [so] shall thy God rejoice over thee.
You will be like a virgin married to a young man. A young man who is happy to show you as his chosen woman. God will be glad to attend your wedding.
6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, [which] shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence,
God has around-the-clock police protection. If anything needs to be spoken they will speak up at all times. Speak about God all the time, for the those who watch are also listening.
7 And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
Keep the watchman busy, and do not let him sleep until all that is needed in Jerusalem is done.
8 The LORD hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn [to be] meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured:
Your enemies will not eat anymore what belongs to you.
9 But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the LORD; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.
The bandits that stole your food will never steal it again. If you worked for it, you will eat it.
10 Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.
Get busy, get ready; prepare for the people that I told you were coming. Show the people how I like things done. Get ready company is coming.
11 Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward [is] with him, and his work before him.
I will keep all of My Words, all the time both now and forever. Tell the people of God, that salvation has come and He has already been rewarded and He knows His assignment.
12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.
Your new name will be known as Search for! God has not left you out.
