Jeremiah 25

I learned a lot from this chapter.  Many lessons are taught about the love of God for his people.

God depended on the His people to show others who He is.  He made it very simple and very clear how we as believers should compliment Him.  Just like an attorney is careful in representing his company and his or her clients, so are we when we represent God and His Word.  God arrest the leaders, who are known as pastors because they promised to speak on behalf of God and His Word and they did not.  Because many people depend on shepherds as sheep do, we think we are being given what God has spoken through them who wear that title.  In Jeremiah 25, God speaks through Jeremiah to all people.  We do not have an excuse for not knowing what the Word of God said.  He told us through Jeremiah you can not trust pastors so read for yourself.
God told Jeremiah in this chapter to take the cup in His hand and cause the people to drink.  How can Jeremiah make people do what they did not want to do?  God did not make them live right, but He made them listen to the destruction He was going to allow because of their sins.

I learned a lot about the cup that was from God's hand to Jeremiah for the people;  the cup represented that we had to drink the formula from God, like it or not.  Meaning there was no way around the fury of God's wrath for the wrongs committed by His people.

Jesus understood the cup of God's hand.  He asked the Father to let the cup pass from Him, but not His Will, but the Will of the Father be done.  When God sends His wrath, it does not take but a cup of His anger to accomplish what He knows is needed to bring correction.

Jesus told us to learn the Word of God represented as the bread and drink the blood as inputting the Word of God into action.  This has given me more insight into what this means.  First, I must Eat the Word of God known as the Bread, and drink the Blood which represents what it cost to be delivered from sin.  I see this as, I must know the Word and when I know what is written, I will come to realize the pain that comes along with taking a stand in the truth of God's Word by the cup that I chose to drink, which is His Blood.
