And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 

Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the LORD; 

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing! 

Today it is common for foolish people to listen to preachers who make faces as if God is telling them something no one can hear but them.  The simple truth is God has said all He wants to say according to His Word and anyone who spends time in the Word of God will know if what is being spoken is true or not.  God told Ezekiel to make it known that He has nothing to do with anyone who says anything that cannot be found in the Word of God rightly spoken or divided.

O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts. 

God compares a prophet who tells lies to a fox in the desert who knows how to blend in without being noticed and takes advantage of the weak by pretending to be for them while seducing them to gain the advantage.  He lurks around the weak and desperate to further their ignorance in an already deadly way of living.  That prophet knows how to sustain himself in tough times and can live without what he needs to get what he has purposed at the right time.  Just like the desert is not productive for living so is a lying prophet who takes advantage of only people who already living without what is good.

Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD. 

You have not taught the people how to avoid the coming disaster against them by teaching them the Word of the Lord.  The people have pieces of truth but those pieces leave gaps in their understanding of the move of God for their protection.

They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The LORD saith: and the LORD hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word. 

You make statements as to say Thus says the Lord, and the weak wait needlessly to see if what you say will come to pass.

Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The LORD saith it; albeit I have not spoken? 

Have you experienced lies and fortune-tellers who say God said this or that and God did not back up their words?

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord GOD. 

You have spoken non-sense and seen lies, I am not for you, said the Lord.  How do you see a lie?  If a preacher tells you God is going to pay all your bills and you do not have the evidence of the truth of your bills being paid, you saw the concrete evidence of a lie. Many people make excuses and say although it has not happened, it will someday.

And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD. 

God said when I am in charge, He will not tolerate a liar in His presence, He will not mention them in His writing of who to follow, and He will not enter into the land He promised.  Then you will know I am God.  They will die.

Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter: 

Bad leaders have seducing spirits who can take the minds of God's people.  They tell them all is well when they watch the people and themselves live against God's Word.  They waste time building walls that will eventually fall on all of them.

Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it. 

The weak wall they waste time building will fall down by the elements of the air.

Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it? 

When the wall falls, people will blame the problem on the building materials.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it. 

God said He will send big storms to tear it apart in His anger.

So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered morter, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I am the LORD. 

God said He will destroy your weak building until nothing is left but the foundation and you will know He did it.

Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that have daubed it with untempered morter, and will say unto you, The wall is no more, neither they that daubed it;

I will destroy the builder and the building. 

To wit, the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Lord GOD. 

Jerusalem will see my wrath and anyone who says differently is a liar.

Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them, 

Speak to the lying women who tell people lies that come from their own emotions that the Lord is against what they are doing.

And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you? 

Tell the women I am against those who make accessories to make people think that those accessories made by witchcraft will make you safe.

And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies? 

You will use My name to make a profit and kill the people who tell you the truth and those that tell you lies, you will make provision to keep them alive by the lies you tell the people.

Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly. 

What you put in the accessories to get people high, I will tear them from you and let those people go free from your hold, and those you seek to make high you will not find. I will put you out of business.

Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am the LORD. 

Those people you hunt for will be torn from the addiction you sell.

Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:

You promise what life and that you cannot give;  you made good people sad and supported the wicked and now he has no reason to change. 

Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the LORD. 

You will not have the power to influence My people anymore, I will deliver My people from substance abuse.
