Ezekiel 7:1-27 (KJV) 1 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

God spoke to Ezekiel again

2 Also, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD unto the land of Israel; An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land.

God told Ezekiel my people have brought an end to the things they were used to.

3 Now [is] the end [come] upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations.

God told Ezekiel to tell the people I have brought you to the end because it is time for me to give you the wages of your sins. The same thing that you did to others, I am going to do to you.

4 And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity: but I will recompense thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD.

When you cry I will not have pity, I will not feel sorry.  I will do to you the same thing you did in earth; You and your idols will be destroyed in the same place. I am God.

5 Thus saith the Lord GOD; An evil, an only evil, behold, is come.

You will see evil and more evil, look all around you,  evil is upon you.

6 An end is come, the end is come: it watcheth for thee; behold, it is come.

Look up and see evil is waiting on you it has finally come.

7 The morning is come unto thee, O thou that dwellest in the land: the time is come, the day of trouble [is] near, and not the sounding again of the mountains.

Oh my people I told you about this day and this day has finally come, you will hear shouts but they will not be shouts of joy.

8 Now will I shortly pour out my fury upon thee, and accomplish mine anger upon thee: and I will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense thee for all thine abominations.

Today you will get what I promised, I will complete what I told you about my anger: and I will judge you for all of the things that you have done against my Word.

9 And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will recompense thee according to thy ways and thine abominations [that] are in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD that smiteth.

God told us clearly what to do and what not to do. And since we have not obeyed God will bring judgment against us because we would not stop sinning.  When God’s judgment pours out He will not feel sorry for the pain we will feel.

10 Behold the day, behold, it is come: the morning is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded.

The morning is here look your sins are ripe your pride can be seen just as a blossom on a rod.

11 Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none of them [shall remain], nor of their multitude, nor of any of theirs: neither [shall there be] wailing for them.

The rod violence is waiting on you and your whole family, and there will be nobody to pity any of you.

12 The time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath [is] upon all the multitude thereof.

The buyer will be excited because of the products being wasted and the seller will cry because of what he is losing.  Tell the buyer it is not a habitat the wrath of God has begun.

13 For the seller shall not return to that which is sold, although they were yet alive: for the vision [is] touching the whole multitude thereof, [which] shall not return; neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.

Things will not be as they were, and the merchant will never recover the things that he lost. Nobody will go back to things they were used to because of the iniquities they did.

14 They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goeth to the battle: for my wrath [is] upon all the multitude thereof.

Your army was ready to fight but there would be no need, for my anger is on everybody.

15 The sword [is] without, and the pestilence and the famine within: he that [is] in the field shall die with the sword; and he that [is] in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him.

There will be no place safe there will be deaf inside of the city and outside of the city you would die one way or another.

16 But they that escape of them shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them mourning, every one for his iniquity.

Anyone who escapes will be in the mountains looking down like doves from a mountain and they all would be very scared.

17 All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak [as] water.

People will be weak and unable to fight or defend themselves.

18 They shall also gird [themselves] with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame [shall be] upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads.

The people will be sad and fear will cover their faces and they will display a day of mourning.

19 They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

People will try to use money to turn away the violence against them, but money will not solve your problem. Nothing they do can turn the wrath of God away from the iniquities they committed.

20 As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty: but they made the images of their abominations [and] of their detestable things therein: therefore have I set it far from them.

All of the beautiful things they were known for, and all of the ungodly images they worshiped, I have removed far from them.

21 And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall pollute it.

All of those beautiful and expensive things I will give to strangers, also, I will give your stuff to the wicked people in the earth and they shall tear it up.

22 My face will I turn also from them, and they shall pollute my secret [place]: for the robbers shall enter into it, and defile it.

The place in the temple that was set aside for Me I will allow the enemy to answer and destroy: I will turn my face when all of this happen.

23 Make a chain: for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence.

Bind all of the people in Jerusalem for the city is full of crimes and full of violence.

24 Wherefore I will bring the worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pomp of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be defiled.

I will bring the worst army on earth to fight against the people of Jerusalem; I will make all of your great festivals be as nothing.

25 Destruction cometh; and they shall seek peace, and [there shall be] none.

Destruction will come and people will look for peace and they will not find it.

26 Mischief shall come upon mischief, and rumour shall be upon rumour; then shall they seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients.

Problems will come and more problems will follow, they were here of problems and more problems and they will look to the Preacher but they will not have an answer.

27 The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know that I [am] the LORD.

I will bring judgment from the top to the bottom of my people, everybody will be in trouble. I will do to them the way they did to others and they will know that I am the Lord.
