JONAH 3

I use pictures to share how I see the story in each chapter.  I have written my thoughts, videoed them, and now I am illustrating my understanding of the simplicity of the Word of God.  When you take your time and read the Word, it becomes amazingly alive and straightforward to comprehend.  When Jesus said his instructions were easy, he meant it.
In Jonah 3, God appears to Jonah for the second time.  This time Jonah obeyed.   God gave specific instructions and told him to say only what He bid him to say.  God used the word bid when telling Jonah how to request a response from the people to change.
When I think of bidding,  I think of an offer;  God offers a chance for an entire city to change.  The desperation from God is heartfelt.

Jonah went as instructed, did what God said, and the people obeyed.
An entire city changed.  When the king listened to the people who told him what Jonah said, he was convicted and set in motion change for everyone in his kingdom.  This showed me how much influence a leader has over people's minds.  He instructed his entire government to fast.  No one ate or drank under his command until he said so.  No person or beast, including infants, ate or drank anything.
When God "Saw" what they did, he changed his mind about destroying them.  When God saw is the key to the truth of change.  Many of us talk of change, but few people show change.  Faith is not speech; faith is the evidence of what you believe.  Tangible evidence of the Word of God draws both God and man to see your attention.  It even draws the attention of the enemy.
In chapter 3, we see a man who obeyed after God spoke the second time.  God allowed Jonah to obey.  There is an allotted time to respond to God.  Do not think God draws at your will.  He said the day you hear Me come, meaning do not delay.  God has a time that the door to enter into Him will be closed.
