PSALM 36

36 The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.

When I see wicked people do what they do, I see that they do not reverence God at all.

For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.

He lives foolishly thinking he is having a good time until the chaff hits the fan and he hates his own results.

The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.

You can not trust the conversation of the wicked.  He does not seek the Word of God.

He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.

A wicked person thinks about doing wrong all the time.  He makes decisions that are sinful.

Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

Lord, you are not at all like the wicked.  You are holy up and down.

Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O Lord, thou preservest man and beast.

Your righteousness is everywhere.  You keep all in your care, man and beast.

How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

Men trust you because you are trustworthy.  People feel safe around you.

They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

You are not stingy.  You do not hold back.  You share more than enough.

For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

You are a fountain that gives water and  no one will ever be thirsty.  In your Word, we see which road to take.

10 O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

Show your lovingkindness. Your kindness is filled with love.  Your right way of doing is the desire of those who know you.

11 Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.

Keep me from the wicked all the time.

12 There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.

People who do wrong fall.  You cause them to fall and when you cause them to fall, they never get up without your consent.
