Psalm 117

117 O praise the Lord, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.

Praise:  to express approbation of; extol commend applaud

to glorify

To determine the worth of

To hold I esteem

approval

respect

to like him

Louder than the super bowl winnings!  The sounds of the Lord ought to be heard.  It is better to praise Him than to not praise Him.  Imagine the noise of terror; A noise that God never meant for man to know or learn.

This verse is clear and precise!  It is short and to the point!  Praise Him if you understand why and if you understand a little about God.  Practice praising Him until you are convinced of why it is necessary to obey Him in praise!

What if I knew Everything God kept me from?  What if I knew all the good things He has planned for me?  If I believe that He is God, then my praise is all that He ask of me.  I can do that!!!!

For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the Lordendureth for ever. Praise ye the Lord.

Why should I praise Him?  Because His merciful kindness is a whole lot!  I can't imagine the width or height of his forgiveness.  I only know I look forward to it everyday. and His truth is from the day He spoke until forever.  Imagine being around someone who is faithful in telling the truth.  Not one ounce of deciet in them.

When I think of God, I think of what I would like all the time from others.  Every move and word spoken from  God is true and exact.  Because I am not as truthful as I would like to be or as truthful as I am learning to be, I cannot imagine the truth of God.  His mind is true, His tongue is true, His promise is true. He has no evil thought toward me, He doesn't second guess Himself about me, He does not talk negatively about me, He always understands me.  I want my "me" to be like my God.  Lord, help me to grow to become more of who You already are.

Merciful:

compassion forbearance shown to an offender

kindness extended to someone instead of strictness or severity

A sentence of imprisonment rather than of death imposed in clemency  on a person convicted of first degree murder

blessing regarded as an act of divine favor or compassion
