Psalm 147

147 Praise ye the Lord: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.

Praising the Lord is good!  It is good to steadily sing about God: it is a delight and enjoyable to praise Him.  Praise makes you stable and attractive.

When we praise God, we are saying we believe You!!!!!!  Our praise is a sound that we know He will keep His Word.

How good is your praise life?!

The Lord doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.

Sinners will be converted and God will add them to His purpose!  The Lord also finds those who have been thrown out and brings them back to build His House up.  Jesus said He would rather go after the lost sheep of Israel and bring him home than celebrate the 99 who said they did not need anything from Him.  God brings those who have been overlooked and said I can use you.  The disciples were not famous men.  They were working men and Jesus saw them and said come follow me.  And all that followed Him were BLESSED!!!!!

He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

Jesus heals the fragile heart.  The heart has several places that have been shattered.  Not only does He heal, but He also stays around to make sure your wounds are well taken care of.

Physical and emotional heart.

He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.

God cares about the things He made.  He called or gave everything He made a name. Every star in the heavens, God knows their position and He knows each one of their names.

The aborted or unborn child is a star!! Even the stars that fell from the womb, He even named each one of them.  The enemy saw that the unborn would be great and seduced the mother to abort who he knew would change the world.  The men who refuse to take wives then sleep with each other, God will name the seed that fell to the ground from the abomination of men with men.  Not one seed God gave to men will be lost.

Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.

God is Big!  God is strong!  He understands everything every day all the time.

The Lord lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.

God lifts up the gentle:  He throws down the evil men to the ground.

Sing unto the Lord with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

Sing to God expecting Him to answer: sing with instruments of praise.  When we take the trees and make instruments of praise, then the trees that were cut, sing praise to God.

Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.

God does!!!!!

He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.

God feeds the beast and the young birds who cry.  God takes care of everything He made.

10 He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.

Do not bank on the strength of weapons or things that have power,  God does not take pleasure in what man stands on or for.

11 The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

The Lord loves to take care of those who believe in Him and those that hope in what He will do to save us.

12 Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.

Prasie God!

The people of God must praise Him.

13 For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.

God's Word makes us strong when we continue in it.  He has and already bless what you will produce.

14 He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.

No one will break in on you and your house will be filled with good stuff too.

15 He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.

When the righteous call, God's Word runs quickly to solve the problem.

16 He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.

17 He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?

18 He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.

God makes it snow and causes it to harden.  Then He sends the sun and the wind and causes the snow to become water and we drink from it.  God puts things in layaway for a later date.

19 He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.

He gave Israel His laws.  We are to live by them today.

20 He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the Lord.

God did not promise His protection for the ungodly.  The ungodly refuse to obey God and since they will not obey His Word, He puts His time in with those who chose Him to be their God.  It is sealed by saying Praise the Lord!!!!!!
