Proverbs 31

Brendaonline.com 31  The words of king Lemuel, the prophecy that his mother taught him. This king remembered is his mom's words. King Lemuel is a king with no written background.  Many times God uses people we may or may not know in His Word.  King Lemuel had a mother who taught him well.  This was not the father who was teaching.   His father is not mentioned. There are many homes that are without fathers and the mother is the one God expects to show the son which way to go using His word.  She is teaching her son how to be a king.  We should all teach our children as though they are kings.  If you knew your son was going to be king, how would you instruct him? 2  What, my son? and what, the son of my womb? and what, the son of my vows? King Lemuel remembers his mother speaking to him and she spoke the words when she promised God that she would teach him everything she knew about God's ways. 3  Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ...

30  The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, even the prophecy: the man spake unto Ithiel, even unto Ithiel and Ucal, God uses people who we may think are popular and he uses people who are unknown.   Agur who mentions his father states who he is and who his father is.  He speaks saying he is ready to tell the truth in front of witnesses. 2  Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man. He admits he has done wrong and he states he does not understand as some men do. 3  I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy. He did not say he wasn't taught, he is saying he did not learn wisdom of the way to make right choices neither does he have the knowledge of God. 4  Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell? He asks great ...

Proverbs 29

Proverbs 29 29  He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. If we continue after being warned repeatedly to stop our bad behaviors, we will die suddenly because we refused to change.  God does have a deadline.  There will be no one that can help us if we do not get off the road God said remove your self from. 2  When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. People are happy when good people are in leadership.  Good leadership treated people fairly.  When people who care nothing for people lead, people are unhappy. 3  Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father: but he that keepeth company with harlots spendeth his substance. If a son loves wisdom his father is happy: if a son spends money on prostitutes his father is shamed. 4  The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts overthroweth it. A king who mak...

Proverbs 28

28  The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion. When we do wrong we constantly look over our shoulders.  We look suspicious and that makes people who think you may be up to no good keep their eyes on you.  What a waste of time.  When a person is handling business and he is doing right, he is focused on the matter at hand and it does not phase him that someone is paying any attention to him. 2  For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged. When our land or world is in chaos it is because many rulers are out of line with God's Word.   But one man with the Word of God knows how to keep order and the good of the land last a long time. 3  A poor man that oppresseth the poor is like a sweeping rain which leaveth no food. A poor man who takes advantage of the poor takes the little they have and leaves them with absolutely nothing. ...

Proverbs 27

27  Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. A proud plan for the next day don't do; tomorrow is not promised and you do not what the next day may bring. Boasting is supported by pride. 2  Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips. When others see how good you are they will make it known.  No one listens to what you say about yourself and takes you seriously. 3  A stone is heavy, and the sand weighty; but a fool's wrath is heavier than them both. A stone is heavy and sand is heavy: but a mad man outweighs them both.  In other words, an angry man is to be avoided. 4  Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy? wrath and anger can be channeled with heavy equipment, but envy is a monster of emotions that cannot be gripped. 5  Open rebuke is better than secret love. Correction openly is better than love unrevealed. 6  Faithful are ...
