Proverbs 30

30 The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, even the prophecy: the man spake unto Ithiel, even unto Ithiel and Ucal,

God uses people who we may think are popular and he uses people who are unknown.

Agur who mentions his father states who he is and who his father is.  He speaks saying he is ready to tell the truth in front of witnesses.

Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man.

He admits he has done wrong and he states he does not understand as some men do.

I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy.

He did not say he wasn't taught, he is saying he did not learn wisdom of the way to make right choices neither does he have the knowledge of God.

Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?

He asks great questions.  After admitting what he does not know, he asked questions.

Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

The response to the question is:   God is pure:  He is a protector to all who trust Him as their Father.  Every word of God is blameless.

Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Do not alter God's Word.

Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die:

Two must haves:

Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:

Remove from vain people and people who tell lies. I do not want to be rich and I do not want to be poor:

Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the Lord? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.

If you make me rich, I may forget God, and if I am made poor, I may steal and dishonor God.  So provide me with what I need.

10 Accuse not a servant unto his master, lest he curse thee, and thou be found guilty.

Do not talk to your boss in the absence of the person you are complaining about.  Because when the person you are speaking to your admin about finds out, you may be found wrong in the matter.

11 There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.

Many children dishonor their parents

12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.

13 There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.

14 There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.

There will be groups of people such as:

1. Those who think things makes them a certain worth

2.  Those  who think they are right and they are not

3.  Those who think they are better than others

4.  Those who think that the world is better off without the poor

15 The   horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give.

Some people are strong like a horse and are leaches; they grip tightly to suck the life out of you.Churches of drain the life out of the poor and people who have a mafia mentality; you either give or die.

There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough:

16 The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough.

17 The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.

These are things you cannot change or stop: there will be women who are not able to give birth; the number of people who die and buried, how much water the earth needs, this means people will always need something; that is out of your control; you cannot put out every fire; there will always be a flame of fire somewhere.

18 There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not:

19 The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid.

20 Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.

You will see things that are too much to comprehend: some people are rarely seen and live away from others but you will see them from a distance at times: these people tend to mind their own business; some people are a slick as a snakes, they spy and are quiet, they crawl over things that could be hazardous , and they can quickly move aboout even in dangerous places; another type of person you will not quite understand is a man's relationship with a woman.

21 For three things the earth is disquieted, and for four which it cannot bear:

22 For a servant when he reigneth; and a fool when he is filled with meat;

23 For an odious woman when she is married; and an handmaid that is heir to her mistress.

It is highly unlikely to see some people behave as such: a servant who takes the place of his boss. i.e, the custodian becoming the principal, a woman who is  repulsive and has a husband; a maid who own everything the woman she works for owns.

24 There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise:

25 The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer;

26 The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks;

27 The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands;

28 The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings' palaces.

You will meet people who are small in number but very resourceful; their will be people who think fast and get the job or what they want done; some people will do things without having anyone to look over their shoulders good or bad; and you will meet people who work or do things like the spider, you don't see them at work, but you see the evidence of their labor.  These people are extremely wise.

29 There be three things which go well, yea, four are comely in going:

30 A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth not away for any;

31 A greyhound; an he goat also; and a king, against whom there is no rising up.

 You will meet people who are strong like a lion and fearless, some people are fast, some are stubborn as a goat and their are groups of people that can not beaten.

32 If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, or if thou hast thought evil, lay thine hand upon thy mouth.

I have taught you about life and how to know who is who; now that you know what to do and say,  stop and think; if your thoughts are wrong do not speak what you know is already wrong formulated in your thought to proceed with words.

33 Surely the churning of milk bringeth forth butter, and the wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood: so the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife.

Know for sure that you will reap what you sow.  There is no seed that will not produce what is sown.  Just as sure as you go to work, you will get the wages of your time; also know if you hurt anyone you will have blood on your hand.  To sum up the whole standard for living is, live a quiet life and do all you can to get along with others.
