Job 35
35 Elihu spake moreover, and said,
2 Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God's?
(RANDOM THOUGHTS)
Are you saying you are right? Are you saying you are more righteous than God?
We know God but who are you?
Have you ever felt you are more righteous than God?
When we have unanswered prayers, how do we approach God?
Do you trust God is taking his time or is He ignoring you?
How do you know you deserve an answered prayer?
How do you pray a perfect prayer so that God will hear you?
What is a perfect prayer?
Is there a formula to a perfect prayer?
If God says the only thing that you must do for me to answer your prayer is nothing. Would you obey?
Nothing means- be quiet.
Go on about your daily task.
Ignore fear.
What if we almost get it right?
I believe that God answers prayers not because of what we do right, but our continuation in his Word.
We are covered by God's total insurance plan. He is obligated to meet all your needs because you are enrolled in his class daily. You will miss out on nothing.
God breaks habits.
God meets needs.
God sends the right people into your life.
God shows you where, when, and why, and how and who is supposed to be in. your life.
Did the disciples lack anything when Jesus walked the earth?
That is the real vivid, tangible, matter of what it looks like if we treat Jesus as the word of God. We are to follow behind the Word of God as the disciples followed Jesus Christ.
Needs Met (Job never asked God for stuff
1. Peter mother in law was made whole
2. Fish food was provided
3. Many followed Jesus then and many follow Him today.
A very few followed because they wanted to know Him.
Jesus loved his disciples.
The Word is all of who Jesus is.
intimacy?
deliverance?
healed?
we are in trouble?
suffer?
I want my sins forgiven.
Do you want to change?
Most followed Him because they like what they can get from Him.
Can we sing under a crush?
What are we to learn from Job?
How to remain steadfast if we are missing one or more of what Job lost all of.
Job asked for the presence of God
3 For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?
For you said what the use of living right?
4 I will answer thee, and thy companions with thee.
We will tell you what your problem is Mr. Job.
5 Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou.
Look up and see the clouds that are higher than you!
OUR FATHER meaning come with someone else when we go before God.
6 If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him?
What can you do to God?
7 If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? or what receiveth he of thine hand?
How can you pay God off?
8 Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man.
Your wickedness may hurt others like yourself: your righteousness may profit the good of all mankind.
9 By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.
Many oppress and make those who they oppress to cry: because use them as such.
10 But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;
But even they do not call on God who gives songs during hard times.
11 Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?
Man is wiser than beast or fowl. God instructs us and helps us in each step of the instructions. God provides the recipe and then he grows the plants we need to cook the food. He gives life to the children needed to prepare the things we need. He provided the animals we need to barbeque. When we pray for our food, do we think of how many people it took to get you a loaf of bread?
12 There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.
God does not rescue or listen to their cry because they won't change.
13 Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.
God does not listen to sinners.
14 Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him.
Job, you say you will not see God, but all will stand before the judgment seat of God. Knowing this do you trust Him?
15 But now, because it is not so, he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth it not in great extremity: God will do worse to you because you do not realize you have made Him angry.
16 Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplieth words without knowledge.
Job blows hot air. His words are as a fool.
Sing or Say
So you think you are right
And you‘ve done no wrong
And you sin against God
You say you are righteous
And I say you’re not
God is only using you
In the state that you’re in
The reason you are going through this
So others won’t sin
You ain’t no judge
And you don’t know God
God does fear you
Your words he don’t trust
Get it together
And do it now
Repent and maybe God
Will forgive you somehow!
Job Job Job
You sound like a fool………..
